I love Battlestar Galactica and I also love the tasty, whole grain wheatyness of toast. But alas, I cannot live out my dream of combining my two cares about into a single product. Wait one second…now I can, thanks to this limited edition $65 toaster from the Sci-Fi Channel! Each Battlestar Galactica branded toaster burns those Cylons up good. As the product page notes: “These Cylons are toast!” Ha Ha Ha…eh… [NBC Universal Store via Slashfilm via Likecool]

Be sure to stick around, folks. We’re going to have an exclusive that you won’t want to miss and it’ll be LIVE. There’s a reason why I just live streamed the unboxing of a Sidekick. It’s called a trial run. Heh. Be sure to come back or stick around till then. It may or might […]

Be sure to stick around, folks. We’re going to have an exclusive that you won’t want to miss and it’ll be LIVE. There’s a reason why I just live streamed the unboxing of a Sidekick. It’s called a trial run. Heh. Be sure to come back or stick around till then. It might or may not have anything to do with the iPhone 3G.

Talking of really cool iPhone apps, here’s one of the submissions we’ve gotten for our iPhone App Contest. It’s called Instinctiv Shuffle, and it “learns from your skipping patterns and plays what you want to hear.” We haven’t tested it out for ourselves in any extent, but current users of it (it’s a jailbreak application) seem to really enjoy it. During random shuffle, users skip on average every 2 songs, but in Instinctiv Shuffle, they only skip every 14 songs. Think your app is cooler? Send it on in to our contest. [Instinctiv]

Other than the apps demoed during Apple’s WWDC Keynote, there hasn’t been much talk about really cool iPhone programs headed our way on July 11. Cult of Mac rounded up a few, and they’re actually getting us kinda excited.

• Briefcase: Lets you connect to your Mac and download files remotely. Won’t be out until September.

• Mariner Calc: Edit Excel documents.

• Whrrl: Like Yelp on the go.

• Morocco: Multiplayer Othello.

• Tap Tap Revenge: Like the old Tap Tap Revolution game on jailbroken iPhones.

Now if someone would only make an app that syncs To Do lists from your iCal, we’d get REALLY excited.

We also found this multiplayer Pong app, which we’ve seen before, but is something that we’d like to see more of from official apps. Multiplayer, that is.

Dan Lyons, the man behind Fake Steve Jobs is shutting down the blog: “I know you’ll miss FSJ. So will I. But rest assured, Fake Steve is not really going away. He’s just taking on a new form. As Jimi Hendrix once said, If I don’t see you no more in this world, I’ll meet you on the next one, but don’t be late.” Valleywag has a bit of speculation on why, but only half of it seems right.
